Our farm is home exclusively to purebred Siberian Huskies – genuine Arctic sled dogs with generations of documented history. A husky safari at Tundra Huskies is about much more than the distance travelled. Every experience combines dog sledding with time at our family-run husky farm, where you can meet the dogs and learn more about life with Arctic sled dogs.

Whether you are trying dog sledding for the first time or want to spend longer on the trail, choose the safari that suits your visit to Lapland.

Experience the thrill of travelling through the winter landscape behind a team of Siberian Huskies. The 5 km safari offers an easy introduction to dog sledding while still giving you time to enjoy the husky farm and meet the animals.
The programme includes a husky farm visit and time around the fire with grilled sausages. Allow approximately 1.5 hours for the whole experience.

Spend more time on the trail and enjoy the silence and scenery of the Lapland wilderness with your own husky team. The longer route gives you more time to experience the rhythm of dog sledding and the changing winter landscape.
After the safari, visit the husky farm, meet the dogs and enjoy hot drinks and a grilled sausage beside a cosy fire. Allow approximately 2–3 hours for the whole experience.

The number of dogs in each team depends on the weather, trail conditions and the weight of the passengers. The safe loading of each sled is also assessed individually – for example, an adult and a child may ride in the sled while another adult drives.
Blankets and reindeer hides are provided in the sled, but please dress warmly in layers and according to the day’s weather conditions. Arctic temperatures can vary significantly throughout the winter.
A safety snowmobile is available during the safari when needed, while the lead guide travels in front of the group with their own dog team. Guides remain in radio contact throughout the experience.
